Removal

Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.

1.	Remove the brake fluid fron the clutch master cylinder reservoir with a syringe.

2.	Clamp the clutch master cylinder hose(A). If there is no enough room for clamping, you can also clamp the hose from the brake master cylinder side.

3.	Disconnect the clutch master tube line (B) after removing the nut on the clutch master cylinder.

4.	Remove the ignition lock switch.

5.	Remove the clutch pedal assembly mounting nuts (A-2ea,B-1ea).

6.	Remove the clutch pedal and the master cylinder assembly together. Tightening torque : 9.8~14.7 Nm(1.0~1.5 kgf.m, 7.24~10.9 Ib-ft)

Inspection

Ignition Lock Switch

1.	Disconnect 2P-connector from a ignition lock switch.

2.	Disconnect the ignition lock switch. (if you can install a tester with the switch fixed, this step can be omissible)

3.	Check for continuity between terminals. (Refer to the table below)

• Replace the ignition lock switch if testing the part reveals continuity that does not follow the table below. • If not, install the ignition lock switch and adjust the clutch pedal.

Installation

1.

Installation is in reverse order of removal. • The clutch pedal and the clutch master cylinder are supplied as an assembly. • Inspect the continuity of the ignition lock switch ane clutch pedal. (Refer to Repair procedure in this group.) • Perform the bleeding air procedure in the concentric slave cylinder. (Refer to Repair procedure in this group.)

Adjustment

• Inspect a ignition lock switch. • No gap between a clutch master cylinder pistion and push rod can cause clutch slip.

1.	Remove the ignition lock switch after removing the switch.

2.	Press the clutch pedal to the seat ground.

3.	Adjust the ignition lock switch position with the pedal a little(23~26mm) raised.

4.	Install the ignition lock switch firmly.
